We are committed to ensuring that our students receive top quality guidance, support and opportunities that will help in future decision making in all aspects of further education, training, employment and higher education. Our 'Careers Plan' is available to download on this web page.
All of our year 9, 10, 11 and 13 students will receive further or higher education advice from HeppSY as well as careers interviews with our careers advisor who is able to give independent, impartial advice at this crucial stage of schooling. In addition to this, we have a dedicated member of staff, Mr Self, who coordinates off site careers visits and plans many in academy activities and inviting guest speakers to work with our students.
We actively encourage our students to speak to our careers advisor, who is available to discuss their different options including CV’s, Further or Higher Education, Apprenticeships and other careers information. They are based in our Learning Resource Centre so if the door is open we encourage students to pop in for a chat.
"At Campsmount we strive to offer all of our students the very best support and encouragement that they need in order to achieve their maximum potential. Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) team offers students in all years, the opportunity to explore the careers that are available to them and the various routes into Higher Education. Throughout their time at Campsmount, students will experience a plethora of career events that are delivered by professionals and local businesses."
The academy measures the impact of the careers plan by collecting annual data on intended careers and destination at post 16 and post 18. We also calculate NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) data on an annual basis. The most up to date NEET figures will be added to this page shortly.
